"Collections in Motion" with Fabrice Cotinat / Beyond the Walls

Fabrice Cotinat, an artist and teacher at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs (ENSAD) in Limoges, has been exploring the boundaries between human intention and mechanical action for several years through his drawings created by a drawing robot. For the Printemps du Dessin (Spring of Drawing) festival, he presents Confusion (1994-2005), a project where chance and mechanical repetition transform familiar or imaginary images into unique works.

This exhibition showcases a series of very large format drawings, created by a drawing robot designed by Fabrice Cotinat.

  • Meet the artist and activate the artwork: Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at 18:00 PM

First activation of the robot, followed by a discussion between Fabrice Cotinat and Barbara Dieuzayde, head of the collections and distribution department of the Frac-Artothèque, during a friendly evening at the Médiathèque du Palais-sur-Vienne.
