Fouzia Khaia
Holder of a DNSEP design option with ceramics mention with the congratulations of the jury, obtained in 2025 at Ensad Limoges
Fouzia's practice is rooted in research on motifs as a cultural language, a structure of thought, and a trace of gesture. Through her research, she explores how motifs from Moroccan heritage, particularly those related to architecture, rituals, and craftsmanship, can be reactivated in contemporary contexts.
She is interested in what makes a heritage alive: not the reproduction of its forms, but the understanding of its internal, spiritual, mathematical, cultural logic, and their reinterpretation using current tools.
She uses technologies such as generative design, parametric modeling, artificial intelligence, 3D modeling and printing to interrogate the relationship between pattern, material, and object. In her practice, she combines traditional craft methods with contemporary technologies, exploring a variety of materials such as ceramics, textiles, metal, and experimental composites.
His work is part of a desire to make design a space for dialogue between heritage and innovation, where the pattern is not decoration, but a trigger for processes, stories and new forms.
