Julia Murr
Holder of a DNSEP design option with mention for the finesse and accuracy of positioning, obtained in 2024 at Ensad Limoges
Drawn to the world of childhood, Julia has focused on play as a spontaneous and natural act over the past two years. She realized that children create their own entertainment from everything around them. In response, she positioned herself as a designer of elements that stimulate children's curiosity and open new doors of thought, rather than directing play with strict instructions. By challenging the traditional playgrounds in our cities, Julia sought to reconfigure these spaces to better cultivate children's imagination. Her goal is to make public spaces playful, more inclusive, and welcoming for all. The natural environment particularly interested Julia because of the intuitive complexity it offers children. She sees in this living environment, changing according to the seasons, regions, and countries, a richness and dynamic interaction that inspires children, sometimes more than human-made objects and spaces. Through her design, she explores how to integrate these natural elements as tools for discovery and learning, often absent from modern playgrounds due to the constraints of norms. In a world where play is often underestimated, Julia emphasizes its importance for human development, particularly among young people. She aspires for her creations to inspire exploration and imagination, fostering authentic and enriching interactions for each individual.
