BurgerLab, 7m35s

A carpet of raw burgers, a malfunctioning vending machine, a disconcerting tasting: on the surface, we're simply witnessing a factory going haywire. Between production, consumption, and creation, this industrial imagination is gradually drifting toward its collapse.

The codes of mukbang, food porn, and fast-food culture intertwine, revealing the excesses of a food that's no longer truly real. Eating, this basic need, becomes a manufactured object of desire, staged, and consumed with frenzy. We eat without thinking. We swallow the food and the images in a mind-numbing feast, calibrated for instant gratification.

Rooted in a critique of passive consumption, BurgerLab explores our relationship with image and desire, making visible the collective indigestion in the face of this saturated culture. A table set for a society of excess, where the feast is no longer a celebration, but the reflection of a dysfunctional world.

This show invites us to taste excess to better reveal its bitterness, where the appetite for the spectacular conceals a toxic fascination. Through food fiction, it exposes the excess of an alternative universe, excessive and profoundly unstable.
