Paco Le Cam

Holder of a DNSEP art option with a mention for the evolution of work, obtained in 2025 at Ensad Limoges

In an approach where painting and sculpture meet, Paco questions the spatial limits of the canvas in its emancipation from its two-dimensionality. By taking it away from the wall, its natural and historical habitat, he pushes it to reinvent its relationship to space, as if it were trying to find a new lease of life after years spent flat. This process of creating volume, driven by a reflection on the relationship between form and color, gives the canvas a sculptural presence that goes beyond the simple pictorial surface. Monochrome, far from a simple aesthetic choice, becomes a unifying principle: it restores pure unity to a color and refocuses attention on the tension between the form, defined by the frame, and the color, which has become matter. Each piece is then constructed around this dialogue where the chosen color becomes one with the form it completes. The evocative titles are not intended to literally illustrate the pieces but, offer a first key to understanding for the viewer. They serve as reference points, thus facilitating a sensitive and spatial reading of the pieces, while leaving room for interpretation.
