Library

Specializing in the field of plastic arts and design, the Ensad Limoges library brings together a documentary collection of more than 16 works and around 000 journals, including around twenty subscriptions.

The school's educational project and the content of the lessons taught there guide the content of the collections created by the library. It thus offers a wide choice of works on the history of art from its origins to the present day, with a majority of references in the field of modern and contemporary art (including numerous artist monographs and exhibition catalogues) as well as publications relating to the disciplines taught at the school: design, ceramics, jewellery, graphic art, photography, etc.
The second cycle dissertations of Ensad students can also be consulted there.

The library is accessible to the general public from Monday to Friday for consultation of documents on site during the school's opening hours. Loans are free for Ensad students and staff as well as for the external public upon registration at the library. A documentary studies officer assisted by a documentation secretary supports students in their research and carries out documentary monitoring to feed the collection of new items related to the school's specific themes.
The library has, with reserved access, an unlimited online subscription to the Encyclopédie Universalis as well as to the Naïma Digital Art Publishing catalog.

Within the professional networks, Ensad Limoges is a member of the BEAR association (Libraries of Art Schools in Network) and the library is involved in participating in the enrichment of the BSAD (Specialized Base in Art and Design) for the analysis of the Ceramics and Glass Review.

She also participates in the event Doc Month, in November, by showing three documentary films within the school. In January, Reading nights offer the general public and the school community the opportunity to visit the library, attend readings and discover the writing work of some students.
