Taking disability into account
Committed to supporting students with disabilities when they enter school and throughout their studies, Ensad Limoges has implemented a charter designed to facilitate the reception and studies of people affected by these issues.
A disability advisor has also been appointed to raise awareness among the entire school community about issues related to different forms of disability and how they are taken into account at all levels of teaching and the general functioning of the school. She is also responsible for facilitating the implementation of necessary adjustments during competitive examinations, studies, and exams.
The school is fully accessible to people with reduced mobility.
It provides technical assistance:
– wheelchair,
– magnetic loops (reception desk and amphitheater),
– audio recorders,
– Clover Book (portable electronic magnifier with large screen and speech synthesis),
– orcam (a device that is aimed at people with certain levels of visual impairment, and different reading difficulties such as dyslexia and reading fatigue).
– noise-canceling headphones.
An accessible student handbook will soon be available on the school's website.
Depending on the type and degree of disability, various adjustments are possible. These adjustments are requested by the Student Health Service (SSE) doctor or by a doctor appointed by the CDAPH (Commission for the Rights and Autonomy of Disabled Persons) and then adapted to the constraints and pedagogical requirements of the school in consultation with the student concerned.
