Year 1
The acquisition of the vocabulary of the first year aims to develop in the student skills of work, analysis and imagination and to introduce themselves to the methodological tools essential to the positioning of thought and creative act, necessary for the continuation of the course.
Introduction to artistic techniques and practices: drawing, color, image, publishing, ceramics, textiles, volume, digital, design project, personal project.
Introduction to plastic practices and its theoretical components develop according to a weekly schedule. The practices are built over short periods of time, while weeks of grouped time allow the student to develop their production and creation skills. An introduction to IT tools is also offered.
History, theory of arts and foreign languages: history of color, history of arts and design, philosophy, poetry-writing, English, conferences.
History and theory of the arts introduces the student to the tools allowing an approach to the plastic creation of an era, in its link with history, the history of ideas and with contemporary creation.
English exploits English-speaking resources which make it possible to nourish personal work: books, internet, multimedia.
Evaluation: assessment of plastic and theoretical work.
Continuous assessment and half-yearly assessments (oral presentation of the work carried out by the student and a logbook) make it possible to assess the student's level and the knowledge and skills remaining to be acquired. A file summarizing the theoretical lessons acquired is requested each semester. To be authorized to access the second year and the program phase, the student must have validated 60 credits.
Repeating a year is not permitted.
