Call for applications 2026

During the six-month CCE research residency, Ceramics as an Experience, is dedicated to the research and development of a high-level project combining practice and technique, know-how and innovation in the fields of art and design applied to contemporary ceramics.

Located in a region linked to the arts of fire, Ensad Limoges is opening all of its specialist ceramic spaces, providing access to all traditional processes as well as digital creation and manufacturing equipment (including several 3D ceramic printers, a high-resolution 3D scanner and a suitable IT environment).

In addition to its own workshops, Ensad relies on partnerships with local companies that have complementary technologies and open up potential developments.

As the residency takes place within a school, interactions with students are encouraged and involvement in the form of educational intervention is required.

The residency is supervised by a teaching team led by teachers and teaching assistants. Since the residency takes place within a school, the artists and/or designers are committed to fostering interaction with students and being involved in the teaching process.

From January to June 2026, the CCE Residence will host 1 artist or 1 designer:

Recruitment is conducted through a call for applications, based on personal files, interviews, and the candidate's proposal for a specific production/research and development project related to ceramics. The call for applications is open to all forms of practice in the fields of art and design.

APPLICATION SUBMISSION DATES: April 18 to June 9, 2025 at 12:00 p.m.

The selected residents will be interviewed by a jury in person on July 10, 2025.
